As part of the arts festival for secondary schools in Enfield called This is Us, Omari Green, the young Mayor of Enfield, wrote and performed a spoken word piece called “Hear My Voice”.

Local Motion who were partners for This is Us, offered to partner for a project to bring a wider audience to Omari’s work.

This project included the filming of the spoken word piece by an acclaimed filmmaker Winstan Whitter. Winstan also created the accompanying film ‘Omari Green in conversation with NEXUS’.

The films are below, along with photos from the screening event we held on 9th October 2025. It was a wonderful evening hosted by the Mayor of Enfield.
